    Daredevil is actually my favorite Marvel character, only tied with Spider-Man. I can't help but find him criminally underrated. He's absolutely got a massive amount of fans, for sure, but somehow he's still not really in the top tier. Considering that and the fact that the guy is pretty darn grounded—he's not exactly going on space adventures or winning any fights against Asgardian guards or raging monsters—I think perhaps what I like most about him is...he's this perpetual underdog. Everyone loves to root for an underdog. And because of that, he just feels more intimate. Personal. I like that he's not oversaturating everything. I like that he's relatively smaller in scale. He's like your favorite indie band, loved by those in the know and undeniably revolutionary, but not really a household name frequently discussed by just anyone. It's like an exclusive club; if you know...you know. As a kid, I'd be mocked, "You like...the blind guy?" Yet none of these kids ever actually read Daredevil. He felt like he was "mine," so to speak. My special little character that only I really knew about. It grew into a passion.&nbsp;<div><br></div><div>So, with all that said, I've been pushing for a new Legends Daredevil for years. Since the three-pack, really. That three-pack Daredevil just never looked right to me; he looks like he's in a child's pajamas. Going in an all-one-tone-of-red direction gives off this impression of him wearing one big onesie. It's a great, borderline maximum-level figure otherwise, but it really needs some contrast—darker (or lighter, depending) tones of red for the boots, gloves, belt, and that sort of thing. Do that, plus toss in a radar effect and a fair share of hands, and you'd be golden.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>So when I saw the rumor about him, I just automatically assumed the figure would be exactly that. And when I saw it wasn't... I was shocked...</div><div><br></div><div>...because this came like lightning out of a clear sky.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>It's very, very rare for them to announce a figure I'm so excited for and pleased with and yet...one that's never made it onto my wish lists.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>Not because I didn't want him...because never did my brain even slightly indulge the thought that they'd ever as much as consider the proto-Daredevil from the Man Without Fear mini-series. This level of shock-to-joy reaction has only ever occurred with one other figure—Comic Wong. Another that blindsided me with pure happiness to see made, but utter surprise as I never even considered he'd be considered.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>So here he is, the Daredevil figure I never knew I needed. And he's glorious. He's got all the articulation you'd need out of an amateur aerial acrobat on his way to superhero stardom. The legs have an impressive range, as do the arms, particularly for the baggy nature of the cobbled-together outfit he's got. The only slight limitation you'll get is from the hoodie torso, but it's not bad. Otherwise, let's be real, he's a relatively basic figure, not unnecessarily, but by design. He's just all black with sneakers and the lower head showing. There's not much to this guy; the novelty is in his existence in the first place. But for a guy that's effectively just in Rocky's workout clothes, he's impressively done. Added his proto-billy club, accurate to the comic itself, with a surprisingly real-rope loop, so he won't lose it, and you get a unique and impressive addition to your Man Without Fear shelf.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>Total A+ from me.&nbsp;</div>

    I went back to the same Walmart last night with the thought that if it still had him, I would grab him. Alas, another whiff on my part. Facepalms all around! But I can state that if I would have picked this one up and Hasbro announced that they were releasing a classic Maximum version, it would be yet another facepalm. Roll of the dice...

    So l took the cheap way out and ordered this wave off Walmart....they were the old price. And now, well, still a no show for me. Still waiting. And now l'm getting very nervous. This entire wave was a real winner for me...be devastated if l miss it and my order gets cancelled. I'm really regretting my decision now as l'm a diehard DD fan.&nbsp;

    I have a feeling I'm going to regret not picking this up when I saw it in the wild.

    Easy fix for loose gripping hands is a dab of hot glue or poster tack. Especially when you need a character to look like they’re holding a gun with two ands and they don’t really want to.&nbsp;

    Great figure. Fits the Frank Miller aesthetic perfectly. However, be VERY CAREFUL with switching the hands. As soon as I slightly pulled on the left fist to take it out, the peg ripped. It was very difficult to get the broken peg out. Luckily I don’t plan on using the left fist. The left grip hand looks best for holding the billy club. It just doesn’t hold it very tight

    I’m getting this, but I would still like a bloodied MCU version of this outfit. With alternate forearm Muay Thai wraps and everything.&nbsp;

    That makes more sense then. When I first saw it I thought…if only I had a head sculpt that looked like me I could then make me as a vigilante!

    I think the thick look comes from the Romita art style. Blocky/chunky.&nbsp;

    Point taken..&nbsp; but I'm leaning more toward the notion that I still don't have a classic DD in my collection and I'm wondering if I should hold out for a possible Maximum version. Still in all, I'm wondering if this might be an option for a possible kitbash to recreate a Netflix rendition...

    I just don’t understand why he looks so “thick”. Am I missing something? Was this when he had like a stay at home sweatsuit and order takeout phase?

    Going back and forth on this one...
