Bane got a bad lot in animated form. He's either a full luchador (BTAS), or you have this look. I've always referred to this version of Bane as the S&M look, or, to put it more on the nose, this is Gimp Suit Bane. Hah! I've read that Bruce Timm didn't especially like Bane as a character, which may be reflected in how he designed him because neither is all that great. It is nice to have a Bane that actually sounds Latino, though, which would be both versions of his animated self. I guess they thought this made him look more intimidating? I suppose it does when compared to the original BTAS version, but the classic comic look of him is still his best. As with any of the figures from this line, he's limited in what he can do. You're not going to get him in any backbreaking poses, really. But where this figure suffers most is from the art style; he's just very top-heavy, a problem with a few others. Not a bad figure, but he reeks of datedness, which is to be expected, as he's a reissue of an older figure. Still, it's nice to have the core cast of characters from the show lined up together, so if that's your aim, he's a must.
