Black Widow

There's a certain level of irony in a widow breathing in new life, yet perhaps that's the best way to put this figure. Before this, most female figures l'd deem at best just adequate. This was THE new beginnings for female figures in the line. There's no going back. And while perhaps l can excuse some more obscure female roles not being on this buck...this molds greatness cannot be overstated. Every core female character from this point forward deserves this body. It's something l often don't even believe in...literal perfection. Since it's coming... we've seen Warbird, Phoenix, Psylocke, and a select few others utilize this mold to equal success. The formula is written: use the Widow body, a masterpiece is born. It's a double edged sword, however, as any female release now that's...not...using it feels lesser by proxy. I'm looking at you, Retro Mystique. I'm still holding out for Elektra on this mold. I've often argued this figure is so groundbreaking that its success is really what created the Maximum line. Here you get maximum parts and accessories...for half the price. Ah, the good old days....gulp...that really weren't all that long ago. This is the ultimate in fidget figures, able to be posed in effectively any dreamed way. It's the trinket of many a desks, l imagine. I'm... usually...a praiser more than a hater, within reason, but even l don't feel some greats deserve a true 10 out of 10. This gets an 11. It's the Legends hall of famer every Marvel collection needs.
