I wish Triton came with a trident or at least gripping hands.

So I received this pack in the mail yesterday and, before I even review it, I feel the need to preface this with...I'm not a huge Inhuman fan. In fact, I'm only vaguely familiar with them. I probably know more than your average bear, but I've never actually read any Inhuman comics. My association with them is largely only via the FF. So I can't say I have any sort of bias toward these characters, but what I do have a bias toward...is team completion. I'm a team completion kind of guy. So in that way, I'm very excited to have these. <div><br></div><div>Blackbolt presents a design problem. We all know what that is. It's those damn underarm wing-flaps. I've often wondered why they didn't just do for him what they did for Banshee, but then again...his aren't that long and going cloth would tether his arms down and limit them severely. So they went with optional length swappable underarm flaps. And I'd say it...mostly...works. It still limits some, but at this point it's not even Hasbro's fault. It's just the design. </div><div><br></div><div>I've yet to like a Blackbolt figure. The first one was during the Legends dark days...and we don't talk about the dark days. The second one was...meh. Nice screaming head, but those underarm flaps prepetually sticking out were just terrible. Finally, Hasbro gives us a presentable Blackbolt. He's not perfect, but he's by far the best option on the table. Overall, he's pretty solid and I'm happy with him. </div><div><br></div><div>...but let's be real; we're mostly all here for Triton. And he doesn't disappoint. While there's really not much to him, he's presented in the best way possible. He came out excellent and there's more effort here than I ever really expected. While I do think this is the weaker of the two Inhuman 2 Packs, it's still a solid entry, especially for what's ultimately a lower tier team. Nice stuff. </div>

Another seemingly huge improvement over Black Bolt figures past and Triton presents such an interesting long-time-coming dynamic. It looks like Hasbro may have gotten over the lingering stench of the disastrous Inhumans series and focused on the comic based versions because they sure as hell won't be releasing any MCU versions for the foreseeable future. If any interest, I'm willing to sell/trade off my Okoye BAF Black Bolt, Walgreen's exclusive Medusa and Totally Awesome Hulk BAF Karnak... I can already hear the crickets... :)
