Yeah Cap has lucked out with some nice figures over the years. My personal pick is the 20th Anniversary Cap. I’m so glad they re-released him. If they could make another in the same style but using the Gamerverse design with the butterflys and everything it would be a pretty sweet Cap. Maybe for the inevitable Maximum release. At least we better get a Maximum Cap at some point. 

I am right there with you on the broken shield. He doesn’t look right smiling and holding the busted shield. It is nice they included a smiling face. A nice change from the scowl we get and Cap does tend to be a chipper dude from time to time. 

There has been a great string of Cap figures released by Marvel Legends over the last couple of years and this is one of them. I'm happy with my Venom two-pack version and think it may be the grail for my collection but I see this as working very well for others. But stay tuned, fellow collectors, as you KNOW another ball will be dropped sooner rather than later...

It’s the best Marvel Legend Cap to me. It’s the only one that has the correct color blue costume.

Secret Wars is the reason I’ve been a Captain America fan for 42 years, so I love that this figure is calling back to that era. The figure itself looks fantastic, and the smiling head is a great touch—Cap figures are usually locked into that grim, stoic look. Still, it’s a letdown that the only proper shield included is the broken one. Why make that the default? And yes, I know it was broken in the original maxi‑series, but posing him <em>smiling</em> with a shattered shield just feels a little incongruous.
