Every city has one, and every collection needs one. Mob Boss is the man at the back of the room, the one nobody looks at directly, the one everyone is quietly aware of. He did not build his empire overnight, and he did not build it by being careless. He built it the same way he does everything else, quietly, deliberately, and with patience most people simply do not have. Mob Boss dresses well because details matter. He speaks little because words are currency, and he does not waste them. The people around him are loyal not out of fear alone, but because he has earned something harder to manufacture than respect. He has earned trust, and in his world, that is the most dangerous thing a man can possess. Then there is the cat. Mob Cat does not answer to anyone, which is probably why Mob Boss respects it. It sits where it wants, watches everything, and has never once been nervous in a room full of nervous people. Some say the cat has heard more conversations than any associate on the payroll. Nobody jokes about this. Not twice. No crime scene is complete without him. No underworld diorama tells the full story until Mob Boss takes his place at the head of the table, Mob Cat nearby and completely unbothered. He is not the villain of your story. He is simply the reason the story exists at all.
