Broken record as I may sound with these TNBA figure reviews; this is just the latest in, yet again, the most generic of redesigns. It's neither improved nor interesting. Once again you'll hear me say minimalism. Like Riddler, like Two-Face, like Joker, Catwoman's re-do is also lacking in...much of anything. It's simple, it's basic, and, most of all, it's somewhat boring. But what I always found particularly bizarre about Bruce Timm's TNBA redesigns were the females. They give off a bobblehead appearance. Their heads are proportionately huge. And that's really the only thing interesting about this Catwoman look. Unfortunately, for me, it's not in a good way, nor necessarily a bad way, but just more of a bizarre way. I get that the intent is that she's extremely pale, likely to echo Phifer from Batman Returns, but it just makes her look blue. Much like the Joker lacking red lips or the Riddler being bald, it just doesn't look right. It's not awful, but it is off-putting. Unnecessary. <div><br></div><div>The biggest issue with the females in this line stems from being out of style. The minimalism of these redesigns thinned almost everyone out, but on already thin BTAS designs, it means their TNBA updates got stick-thin and proportionately top-heavy. As a result, good luck standing almost any female from this line with near-microscopic ankles. Thankfully, they all include a stand. She's an essential character needed to fully represent TNBA, but she's overall somewhat bland, far and away from some other Catwoman designs, even the BTAS version. </div>
