Dragon Man is a character that's always made me chuckle. Neither dragon nor man...but a robot. Who 'da thunk? He's the whale shark of the super community. As a result, I've always had a closeted fondness for this somewhat goofy character. He's special not merely for coming out magnificently, so beautifully bulky and textured that he's something I could see being a centerpiece of many a Fantastic Four collector...but for what he ushers in. This purple people eater marks a monumental moment in Marvel Legends history, the firstborn of the new "Made to Order" concept. In layman's terms, his making is a game changer from this point forward. He will go down as a true turning point in Marvel collecting. Now we have the ability to see roles made that otherwise would be too niche, large, or expensive (usually a combo of all of the above) to be created and financially viable otherwise. Awesome Android, for example, is one itch I'm hoping "Made to Order" will scratch. Adding in the extras like a second set of relaxed wings alongside glasses and a little novel for a rainy day to display his charmingly unassuming intellect...he's a truly special release that eases the pain of many missing the Toybiz holy grail. A+ all around. This is what it's all about.
