Great write up man! I personally think he’s a pretty cool figure and I really appreciate how ridiculous he is. If I see him in the wild, chances are I’ll snag him up.

So...here's the thing about Hypno Hustler. I've seen a lot of hate for this guy on socials, how he's a wasted space and nobody asked for him.&nbsp;<div><br></div><div>Well, I'm here to say... I asked for him. And I'm not ashamed. You just need a little more funk in your soul, brother!&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>So, alright, fine. He's lame. I know that. You know that. We all know that. Nobody is denying that. But that's exactly what makes him GREAT.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>In defense of the Hustler, people forget that he was relevant at the time. He was created during the height of disco. In many ways, I've often asked myself if he's the writer's commentary on the state of music at the time. Many felt disco had "stolen" the industry, and you must understand, those who hated disco...REALLY hated disco. So maybe there really is more to the guy than just sheer funkadelic absurdity. Broken down, the general concept in and of itself works. Hypnotic music is a motif as old as time, like the Sirens of Homer's The Odyssey or the Pied Piper of folklore. Treated better, the gimmick could go over well. But when you throw the modern (at the time) spin of disco and hypnotic music into a blender, then into a superhero comic book, you get something that just...it just doesn't work. It's like taking a bowl of otherwise great ingredients, but when all combined together, you just get slosh. It's ridiculous. And that's exactly why this guy became loved. He DOESN'T work. He's silly on a different level. And you either get the inside joke...or you don't. You're in on it...or you're not. But there are few better "so bad they're good" villains than the Hypno Hustler.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>And congrats to me, that's the most thought anyone has ever put into the Hypno Hustler. Ever.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>So here we are. He's got a figure. Straight out the gate, I love the deep-cut figures. As said, this guy is kind of an inside joke with longtime fans. There comes a point when your character is so downright stupid, so laughably idiotic...that it transcends bad and reaches this enlightenment into greatness. All it takes is a sense of humor. And I've got to say, he's my favorite from this wave. Is he the technical best one? No. Cardiac is better. 2099 Spidey is light-years better. But he's so much more fun, and that, for me, is often an overlooked criterion in these figures. There are about a thousand amazing concert-inspired poses you can put this guy into. I've currently got him in a Hendrix pose now. You can get so creative with this guy, especially if you're a fellow music lover like me. He's just...fun. Goofy, absurdly silly, downright wacky...fun. And you know what?...That's why I collect Legends in the first place.&nbsp;</div>

Figure looks great but I can already see some issues with the accessories (especially with the guitar) popping up. Regardless, more than solid addition to my collection and I hope that other Spider-Man villains fans feel the same because this is a one-banger that we most likely not see again anytime soon.
