Wow this was very insightful. Not a huge fan of the character but thought about getting it on sale to expand my ‘97 display. But with how different the yellow is I think he would stick out and be a distraction. Not worth it for me!

I had a sinking feeling when this was announced that they would be shifting to this shade of yellow for all the New Mutants they seem to be planning to release going forward. So, break out the acrylic paint and adjust as needed, and plan on having this little<div>Mental dilemma when they redo Moonstar and finally give us a New Mutants Cannonball. </div>

Honestly I picked him up cause he was on sale. Plus him being depowered would be great for my xforce sunspot. Unfortunately now I need all the new mutants. Especially if I want a demon bear diorama to happen

Probably one of my biggest wants ever. Huge New Mutants fan here. Heres my honest review now that I’ve had it in hand for a few days. <div><br></div><div><br></div><div>While I'm really really glad this figure was made, the shade of yellow on him is really off. Im not sure if its just mine, but the yellow used in him has a bright neon type hue that does not match the yellow plastic/paint used in majority of the other X-Men in my collection, so he sticks out a little bit. He doesn't match the yellow used in my X-Men 97 Cyclops, nor my 97 Wolverine, or even any of my 3-pack/issue 275 <span style="-webkit-tap-highlight-color: transparent; -webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%;">X-Men. Its just a weird choice for them to use the weird yellow. Mainly annoying too because I used the 3 pack Storm and Jubilee for Mirage and Magik customs respectively, so thats the same yellow I have in those figures too. </span></div><div><span style="-webkit-tap-highlight-color: transparent; -webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%;"><br></span></div><div><span style="-webkit-tap-highlight-color: transparent; -webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%;">Also if we’re veering into nitpick territory, I think he's a liiiiiittle bit too tall. I know he's based off the version of Roberto from the show, but even still, he's just a teenager. Comics Roberto is one of the younger of the New Mutants.</span></div><div><span style="-webkit-tap-highlight-color: transparent; -webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%;"><br></span></div><div><span style="-webkit-tap-highlight-color: transparent; -webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%;">All that said, I am still really really happy to have this figure in my collection, and its a sign of my favorite team hopefully to come!!! I will DEFINITELY be getting a second if it goes on sale so I can do a Cypher custom. Between this and customs, my New Mutants team is filling up pretty quickly which is exciting to see. 4/5</span></div>

I really hope they use this body to make more of the New Mutants! As far as teams go, they've gotten the short end of the stick for a WHILE and we need, at the very least, the core five, Magik, Cypher, Skids, and Firefist!
