HasLab Galactus Overview

HasLab Galactus

HasLab Galactus

Wow, a lot of people, myself included, thought it wouldn't make it, but it's amazing how the backers doubled in a week or so. That's fantastic news for all of the collectors who contributed to the project. Congratulations, gentlemen!

Here's a brief overview of everything that comes with Galactus, as well as some explanation and summary of the more obscure items that come with this incredible HasLab (like who the hell is this Morg guy, and a Galactus Doom? WTH?).

Frankie Raye (Nova)

Frankie Raye (Nova)

Frankie Raye was the stepdaughter of Phineas T. Horton, the father of the original Human Torch from Marvel Comics 1. Because comics, she came into contact with some chemicals containing Horton Cells, which gave her the ability to flame on. To protect her, Horton hypnotized  her into developing pyrophobia and forgetting the entire accident.

After a while, she met Johnny Storm, who along with the FF, helped her to remember the accident and controlling her powers. She was a member of the FF until Galactus arrived on Earth. In an attempt to save Earth, she volunteered to be Galactus' new herald, to which Galactus agreed and granted her a fraction of Power Cosmic.

The Silver Surfer became her friend and tried to persuade her to stop feeding Galactus worlds with sentient life. He even showed her a primitive Earth without her knowledge, and asked her if she would feed it to her master. She said yes, and then he admitted that it was Earth. After this, she was useless to Galactus, who replaced her with Morg.

Norrin Radd (Silver Surfer)

Norrin Radd was an astronomer from the planet Zenn-La. When Galactus arrived on his planet, he convinced the devourer of worlds to spare his planet and he became his herald, known as the Silver Surfer. The Silver Surfer tried to feed Galactus with planets that didn't have sentient life, but after a while, Galactus manipulated him, repressing memories and emotions. As a result, the Silver Surfer took Galactus to a planet inhabited by sentient life. Among those planets was Earth.

When the Silver Surfer arrived on Earth, Alicia Masters helped him regain his emotions and memories. The Silver Surfer fought alongside the Fantastic Four to defeat Galactus, but Galactus, in vengeance, destroyed the Silver Surfer's planet.

Morg

Morg

Morg

After Nova was expelled by Galactus, the devourer of worlds attacked Morg's planet. But Morg confronted him, without fear or hesitation. Galactus was impressed and made him his latest Herald. Morg was a complete beast. He didn't have any conscience, and that's exactly what Galactus wanted. Morg gladly accepted the task of being Galactus' herald.

The Silver Surfer and Firelord learned about the brutal new herald that Galactus was using after Nova left him. When they reached Galactus to talk about the morals of Morg, Morg battled them and defeated them easily.

They looked for reinforcements and asked Nova, Terrax, and Air-Walker for help. The five fought Morg but were outmatched. Morg destroyed Air-Walker and killed Nova. Galactus was not pleased with this and removed the Power Cosmic from Morg, and a weakened Morg was killed by Terrax. To repay Galactus the inconvenience of losing his herald, both Firelord and Air-Walker volunteered to stay with him.

Doom Galactus

Doom Galactus

Doom Galactus

In an alternate Earth, Doom stepped in to beat Galactus after the Fantastic Four were defeated by the devourer of worlds. In the eyes of Doom, this would make him superior to Reed Richards. He defeated Galactus by building a matching that transferred his mind into Galactus's body.

But he acquired Galactus Hunger. He spared Earth but devoured every other planet in the universe.

Later on, this alternate Earth was visited by 616 Thing and the Human Torch, and they discovered what had happened. Reed Richards and Doctor Doom from 616 worked together in a machine that allowed Emma Frost to swap minds with Doom as part of a plan to stop him and restore the universe. This severely wore out Emma's body, which led to Doom's demise as soon as the swap was carried out.

And that's it. I have to say I didn't know anything about Nova, Morg, or Doom Galactus. Anyway, I still feel that the Doom head, even though it looks really cool, is a little out of place. I don't know if I would rather get another Herald like a redo of Terrax. But I didn't back Galactus, so what gives? I hope you guys enjoyed this post, and if you have any ideas or feedback, let me know.
