Short answer
A standard Marvel Legends figure cost $19.99 in 2012 and $27.99 in 2026, a rise of 40%. Those are the prices on the card of a single six-inch figure, not what it sells for on eBay.
The price by year
One row per year since Hasbro relaunched the line in 2012. The price is the one most single figures of that year carried, so one pricey exclusive can't drag it around.
| Year | Price | Figures at that price | Price against the highest year |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2012 | $19.99 | 19 of 19 | |
| 2013 | $19.99 | 30 of 30 | |
| 2014 | $19.99 | 28 of 28 | |
| 2015 | $19.99 | 42 of 42 | |
| 2016 | $19.99 | 40 of 40 | |
| 2017 | $19.99 | 62 of 64 | |
| 2018 | $19.99 | 92 of 98 | |
| 2019 | $19.99 | 88 of 90 | |
| 2020 | $19.99 | 69 of 78 | |
| 2021 | $22.99 | 43 of 91 | |
| 2022 | $24.99 | 58 of 118 | |
| 2023 | $24.99 | 96 of 105 | |
| 2024 | $24.99 | 65 of 74 | |
| 2025 | $24.99 | 48 of 60 | |
| 2026 | $27.99 | 65 of 71 | |
| 2027 (announced) | $27.99 | 8 of 11 |
The table reads the checklist every day. When Hasbro reveals a wave at a new price, it shows up here without anyone editing this page.
When the price went up
For years the price didn't move at all. Then it moved several times in a short stretch:
- $19.99 from 2012
- $22.99 from 2021
- $24.99 from 2022
- $27.99 from 2026
Look at the "figures at that price" column. In a year where only part of the figures have the new price, some waves of that year kept the old price and others came out at the new one.
What it does to a wave
Say you buy six figures from one wave to finish a Build-A-Figure. At the 2012 price, those six cost $119.94. At the 2026 price, the same six cost $167.94, before tax and shipping.
If you're working on a BAF, the Build-A-Figure list shows every BAF and the wave it comes from, so you know what you're signing up for before the first preorder.
How we count the price
Every figure in the Legendsverse checklist has the retail price it was announced at. To get one price per year, we take the single figures of that year and use the price most of them had. We leave out:
- Two-packs, box sets and team packs. They're priced as sets.
- Deluxe figures, the bigger ones in a larger box.
- HasLab projects, 12-inch figures and life-size helmets and shields.
- Years before 2012. The Toy Biz and early Hasbro years have too few prices on file to trust.
Store exclusives stay in. When one costs more than the rest, it can't move the most common price on its own.
Keep track of what you paid
The card price isn't always what you pay. Sales, coupons, preorder deals and resellers all move it. In Legendsverse you can save the price you paid and the date for every figure in your collection, so your spending sits right next to the figures. It's free up to 25 figures.
Questions
How much is a Marvel Legends figure right now?
The standard price in 2026 is $27.99 for a single six-inch figure. Deluxe figures and two-packs cost more.
Why do some years have figures at two prices?
The price changed during that year, so some waves kept the old price and others came out at the new one. The table shows the price most figures had.
Is this the price on eBay?
No. This is the retail price on the card. What a figure sells for later is its market value, and Legendsverse shows that from real eBay sales on each figure page and in the Marvel Legends price guide.
Are announced figures included?
Yes, in the table, marked as announced. They don't count toward the rise in the short answer, because their price can still change before they ship.
